🎉 Meet Kennedie Anderson, our student teacher in the Kindergarten classroom this semester! 🍎👩🏫
Kennedie is a senior at York University, finishing her degree in Elementary Education. She originally came to York to play college softball 🥎 but also competed as a dancer for a season at the University 💃. She continues to play softball for the Panthers while balancing her studies and student teaching.
Kennedie will graduate in April and is excited to get married in June! 💍 They plan to settle in York, where he will serve as an assistant coach for the York University Baseball team ⚾, and she hopes to find a teaching position in this wonderful community.
Kennedie has loved her time so far at Emmanuel-Faith, where she’s felt warmly welcomed by students, parents, and staff. 💕 She’s especially enjoyed being part of the Kindergarten classroom, where her students keep her on her toes and make learning so much fun! She’s grateful for Ms. Pope, who is a fantastic mentor and example both in and out of the classroom.
Let’s give Kennedie a warm welcome as she completes her student teaching and prepares for an exciting future ahead! 🌟✨ #TeamEF #FutureTeacher

Tomorrow is Race to the Finish Day – Wear athletic gear, sneakers, or sports jerseys to symbolize running the race of faith. 🏃♂️➡️👟
📖DEVOTION
The Christian life is described as a race that requires endurance and focus. We persevere not by our own strength but by relying on Christ, who has already completed the race and waits to welcome us at the finish line. Through prayer, study and fellowship, we find the strength to keep our faith steadfast and our eyes fixed on Jesus.
🙏 PRAYER
Father in heaven, grant us the strength to persevere in faith. May we always keep our eyes fixed on Jesus as we seek to follow Your will. Amen.

Tomorrow is Joyful & Bright Day – Wear bright colors, happy patterns, or shirts that bring joy to others. 🌞
📖DEVOTION
Jesus faced the cross with joy because He knew the outcome — eternal life for all who believe in Him. The joy He experienced is the same joy promised to us in the hope of everlasting life. As we live in this world, we hold firmly to the joy of salvation and the peace of God’s promises.
🙏PRAYER
Dear Lord, we thank You for the joy that comes from following You. May we find joy in Your promises and be strengthened by the hope of life eternal. Amen.

Tomorrow is Show Your "Saints Pride Day" – Wear your E-F spirit wear, blue/white clothing, or an item that shows others your faith (crosses, Bible verses, etc.).
🪙💵 Don't forget that PENNY WARS are happening all week! We are also still collecting Chapel offering this month for our Hearts for Jesus project, Calvary Academy in Lusaka, Zambia!
📖✝️ DEVOTION
The cross is the heart of our faith. It reminds us of Jesus’ suffering and His victory over sin and death. Jesus bore the cross for our sake, enduring pain and shame so that we could have eternal life. In our own lives, we are encouraged to carry our crosses by faithfully enduring trials, trusting in Christ’s redemptive work.
🙏 PRAYER
Almighty God, we thank You for the gift of Your Son, who endured the cross for our salvation. Help us to remember and honor His sacrifice in our daily lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🎉 Meet Samantha “Sam” Cook, our 7th Grade student teacher at Emmanuel-Faith! 🍎
📚 Sam is a senior Elementary Education major at York University, but her journey to teaching took a unique path. She originally studied geology 🏔️ at Colorado State University; but during the pandemic, she worked as a middle school paraprofessional and discovered her true passion—teaching! Feeling God’s call back to Nebraska, she transferred to York University, where she found a welcoming and close-knit community.
Sam is endorsed K-8 but has a special love for middle schoolers. She enjoys their quirky personalities, their growing independence, and their ability to be both deep thinkers and silly at the same time. She has already shared plenty of laughs with her seventh graders and is encouraged by their joy and compassion.
Her faith is a big part of her journey! ✝️ Isaiah 6:8 reminds her to follow wherever God calls, and Luke 12:24-28 reassures her of His constant care and provision.
Join us in giving Sam a warm welcome as she shares her love of learning and faith with our students!🍎✨ #TeamEF #FutureTeacher

Tomorrow is “Leave It Behind” Day – Wear mismatched or inside-out or backwards clothing to represent shedding distractions and focusing on faith.
📖 DEVOTION
In this verse, we are encouraged to recognize and remove anything that obstructs our relationship with God. Sin, distractions and doubt are all weights that we must lay aside. By confessing our sins, seeking God’s guidance, and remaining rooted in His Word,
we become better equipped to grow in faith and live as His disciples.
🙏PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the faith You have given us. Help us to recognize and lay aside all that hinders us from following You faithfully. Guide us as we seek to live according to Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
